Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry
Location: Lufkin, Texas
Start Date: 07-06-2026
End Date: 10-05-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 18:00 - 07:00, every other weekend and holidays required. Scheduling by manager; block scheduling not guaranteed.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on a 24-bed med/surg telemetry unit
- Monitor telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and house supervisors
- Utilize the Virtual Integrated Care (VIC) nursing model to enhance patient outcomes
- Maintain effective communication and time management in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in Texas
- BLS certification
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to read telemetry strips
- Experience in med/surg telemetry nursing preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of med/surg telemetry nursing practices
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team
