Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, self-scheduling, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population including oncology, PCU, and med-surg patients
Administer chemotherapy and manage drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin
Monitor hemodynamic status and titrate medications as needed
Collaborate with a supportive interdisciplinary team including PT, OT, social work, and dietitians
Float to med-surg and other PCU units as needed, ensuring consistent high-quality care
Uphold patient safety and hourly rounding standards

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in oncology and PCU nursing
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
First-time travelers welcome
Chemotherapy certification required (ONS/ONCC)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass a pass/fail exam during orientation (open book, 90% required)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EPIC electronic medical records
Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000)
Knowledge of ICP monitoring and charge nurse responsibilities
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Adaptability to a fast-paced, mixed-unit environment
