Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate and progressive care for cardiac and vascular patients, including post-CVICU downgrades
Titrate and manage critical drips such as Amio, Nitro, Epi, and Cardizem
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips for patients on cardiac monitoring
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including hospitalists, intensivists, and cardiologists
Float to units of same or lower acuity as needed
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced cardiovascular unit

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent experience with this patient population
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Driver's license required for mileage verification
Ability to pass an open-book exam (90% or higher) during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titrating cardiac drips and managing blood pressure medications
Skilled in telemetry interpretation and rhythm recognition
Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula oxygen delivery
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Adaptability to floating and changing patient assignments
