Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), rotating including every 3rd weekend and 3 out of 6 major holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and administer medications
Maintain strict sterile technique during central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertion
Collaborate with neonatologists, midlevels, and the multidisciplinary team
Support families and educate them on infant care
Participate in emergency response and neonatal resuscitation

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of Level 4 NICU experience required
Current BLS and NRP certifications
Cardiac STABLE certification strongly preferred
Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
Ability to pass the SIMs Lab skills (Foley insertion and central line dressing changes)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in neonatal intensive care and emergency response
Proficient with Cerner EMR
Strong sterile field technique
Knowledge of vent management (RT manages, but you need to collaborate)
Telemetry monitoring with Phillips system
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
