Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, schedule set by leadership. Possible shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Weekend and holiday requirements vary based on department needs.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a Level I Trauma Center
Triage patients efficiently and manage multiple critical cases simultaneously, including trauma, sepsis, strokes, and chest pain
Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and interpret telemetry strips
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians and mid-levels
Float to OBS unit and freestanding ER as needed to support the team
Participate in life-saving interventions and stabilize patients for further care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
NRP certification preferred
Recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience required
Valid driver's license for radius rule verification

Knowledge & Skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency environment
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for trauma and medical emergencies
Proficiency in common ER drips and protocols
Comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry strips
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
