Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, days, nights, and midshifts available (starting at 6:45 AM/PM, 9 AM/PM, 11 AM/PM, 1 PM/AM, 3 PM/AM); every other weekend required.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient population including pediatric, cardiac, stroke, and trauma patients
• Perform advanced dysrhythmia interpretation and management using telemetry monitoring
• Administer and titrate common emergency medications including pressors, sedation, and drips
• Collaborate with physicians, midlevels, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a Level III trauma center
• Triage patients efficiently and manage fast track and holding areas as needed
• Troubleshoot and manage ventilator, CPAP, and BiPAP equipment

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Texas or compact state (NLC) required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam with 83% or higher before contract start
• First-time travelers welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in administering and managing common ER drips (pressors, sedation, etc.)
• Strong dysrhythmia interpretation and rhythm strip reading skills
• Experience with ventilator, CPAP, and BiPAP management and troubleshooting
• Ability to perform EKGs and interpret results
• Skilled in triage and patient assessment across all age groups, including pediatrics
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
