Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on assigned shift
Assess patients, implement nursing plans, and document care accurately
Administer medications and treatments safely, following facility protocols
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate when needed
Maintain infection control standards and promote a safe environment

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama (or compact/eligible where applicable)
Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or available upon hire
Clinical experience as a bedside RN (previous med-surg or correctional/behavioral experience a plus)
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
Proof of required immunizations and background checks as per facility policy

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid assessment and critical thinking skills in fast-paced settings
Familiarity with medication administration and IV therapy
Comfortable with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
Ability to de-escalate situations and maintain patient safety
Time management and prioritization for multiple patient needs
