Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care to trauma, burn and surgical ICU patients, maintaining a 2:1 ICU patient ratio
• Manage complex critical care equipment and interventions with precision and calm
• Perform wound care, participate in codes, manage EVDs and support Massive Transfusion Protocols (MTP)
• Document care accurately in the Meditech EMR to ensure continuity and safety
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, communicate clearly with patients and families, and escalate concerns proactively
• Demonstrate flexibility by floating to MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU or PCU as patient needs dictate

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license (required)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant ICU experience; Trauma, Burn, and Surgical ICU experience required
• BSN preferred
• CCRN preferred
• Comfortable using Meditech EMR and working with critical care technologies
• Team-player attitude, strong communication and critical thinking skills

Education

• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing and ICU best practices
• Trauma, burn and surgical ICU clinical skills
• Wound care techniques and management
• Experience with EVDs and Massive Transfusion Protocols (MTP)
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical record
• Strong clinical judgment, situational awareness and clear communication
