Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care to oncology/BMT ICU patients, managing ventilators and Bipap support
• Safely titrate continuous drips and manage vasoactive medications with precision
• Perform tracheostomy care, dressing changes, turning and total care for critically ill patients
• Operate and troubleshoot ICU equipment including CRRT, IV pumps and A-lines as needed
• Document thoroughly and efficiently in Meditech EMR to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and build strong rapport with physicians
• Maintain patient safety and appropriate 2:1 patient ratios during your shift

Qualifications

• Current RN license (valid in Texas) required
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience (strong ICU experience required)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proven experience with ventilator management and titrating drips
• Comfortable providing care for Bipap patients and tracheostomy care
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Preferred: CRRT experience and transplant (kidney, pancreas, liver) experience

Knowledge & Skills

• ICU care and critical thinking for complex oncology/BMT patients
• Ventilator management and Bipap experience
• Drip titration and vasoactive medication management
• Tracheostomy care and total patient care (turning, dressing changes)
• CRRT familiarity and IV pump / A-line competency
• Meditech EMR documentation and charting skills
• Strong communication and teamwork with physicians and multidisciplinary staff
