Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care across the continuum of the day shift
• Assess patient status, develop and implement individualized nursing plans, and evaluate outcomes
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and monitor clinical changes with vigilance
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and communicate changes
• Respond to on-call needs, support urgent patient issues during holidays and weekends
• Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity
• Educate patients and families to promote recovery and safe discharge planning

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact RN licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications such as ACLS preferred
• Clinical experience in acute care settings preferred (2+ years recommended)
• Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends, and participate in on-call rotations
• Strong communication skills, dependable work ethic, and team-oriented attitude
• Must meet standard employer onboarding requirements such as background check and immunizations

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Medication administration and IV management
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
• Prioritization and time management in a busy day-shift environment
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively to urgent clinical situations
