Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, accurate radiation therapy treatments including IMRT, SRS and SBRT, ensuring each patient receives high-quality care
• Perform simulation, treatment planning support and accurate beam positioning/modification to meet clinical goals
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging and treatment equipment such as CBCT/kV/mV imaging and Elekta treatment units
• Chart thoroughly in Epic and use Mosaiq or C-RAD workflows when applicable to maintain excellent documentation
• Provide patient and family teaching, addressing concerns and guiding them through treatment plans with compassion
• Follow radiation safety protocols, isolation precautions and PPE standards to protect patients and staff
• Create and fit custom molds, shields and other treatment accessories to support individualized care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including radiology, respiratory services and social services to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• ARRT (T) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of radiation therapy experience
• Epic charting experience required
• Comfortable floating between similar units when requested
• Must include RTO (requested time off) at time of submission; pending licenses are not accepted
• Willingness to train on Elekta systems if not already experienced

• Radiation Therapy fundamentals and treatment planning (IMRT, SRS, SBRT)
• CBCT/kV/mV imaging and B-Mode acquisition targeting
• Beam modifying and positioning, field shaping and compensation filters
• Simulation of treatment sites and portal cast techniques
• Experience with Elekta Infinity and Elekta Synergy treatment units
• Familiarity with Mosaiq, C-RAD and Epic charting
• Patient/family education, chart checks and billing for treatment types/devices
• Radiation safety, isolation precautions and proper use of lift/transfer devices
