Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage comprehensive oncology care with a focus on breast and gynecologic cancers, delivering evidence-based, patient-centered treatment
• Provide high-quality outpatient care as part of an established team of physicians and APPs
• Lead and actively participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards to optimize complex patient plans
• Collaborate closely with Surgical GYN Oncology at Anschutz Medical Center for coordinated care
• Design, conduct and contribute to clinical research and trials in breast oncology to advance treatment options
• Use the EPIC EMR for efficient, safe patient management and documentation
• Stay current with emerging therapies and technologies to continuously improve patient outcomes
• Mentor and work alongside APPs and colleagues to foster a collaborative clinical environment

Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certified in Hematology/Oncology (explicitly stated requirement)
• Ability to obtain or hold an active Colorado medical license
• Experience and interest in breast oncology and gynecologic medical oncology
• Demonstrated experience with clinical research and trials (design, enrollment, or oversight)
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR or ability to learn system-wide workflows
• Strong teamwork and communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration and tumor board participation
• Willingness to share minimal call responsibilities across the clinical team

Education

• Medical degree (MD or DO) and completion of Hematology/Oncology fellowship
• Board eligible or board certified in Hematology/Oncology (as stated in the job description)

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical expertise in medical oncology and hematology
• Specialized knowledge of breast and gynecologic oncology care pathways
• Familiarity with clinical trial processes, protocol adherence, and research documentation
• Skilled use of EPIC for charting, order entry, and care coordination
• Experience in multidisciplinary collaboration and tumor board participation
• Ability to mentor and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers
• Strong patient communication, empathy, and shared decision-making skills
• Commitment to staying current with oncology innovations and guidelines
