Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients to create individualized treatment plans that help restore mobility and function
• Deliver skilled physical therapy across outpatient, acute inpatient and swing-bed skilled care areas
• Document care thoroughly and timely using MatrixCare to ensure continuity and quality
• Collaborate with nurses, aides, and the rehab team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and functional goals to support long-term recovery
• Participate in department orientation and continuous improvement efforts to raise standards of care
• Maintain required certifications and follow clinical protocols to ensure patient safety

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT or equivalent) or physical therapy degree as required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• State licensure as a Physical Therapist or eligible to obtain licensure in North Dakota
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred, but experience is not required—training will be provided
• Comfortable working 10-hour day shifts and managing an average patient load (about 8 patients/day)
• Experience or willingness to chart in MatrixCare is preferred

Education

• Physical therapy degree (DPT or equivalent). BLS certification required.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills across outpatient and inpatient populations
• Experience with or ability to learn MatrixCare electronic charting
• Knowledge of common musculoskeletal and rehab diagnoses seen in outpatient and acute settings
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Time management skills to run efficient 10-hour clinic days
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate across disciplines
