Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate direct patient care to inpatient populations
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to drive patient-centered outcomes
• Develop, implement, and update comprehensive plans of care tailored to each patient
• Use rehabilitation equipment such as splints, orthoses, prostheses, wheelchairs and ADL devices to maximize function
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic modalities and interventions
• Document clinical care accurately in the electronic health record (Meditech Expanse)
• Educate patients and families to support recovery, independence, and safe discharge planning
• Participate in orientation and team meetings to ensure continuity and quality of care

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) — required
• Massachusetts Physical Therapy license — required (must be uploaded with profile)
• Minimum 2 years of current inpatient physical therapy experience — required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification — required
• Meditech Expanse experience — strongly preferred
• Traveler-specific requirements: must have your own vehicle, permanent address included in profile, and any RTO/scheduling needs disclosed at submission
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment — required

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) — required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical reasoning for inpatient rehabilitation
• Hands-on skills with splints, orthoses, prostheses, wheelchairs and ADL equipment
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities and their safe application
• Excellent interdisciplinary communication and teamwork
• Proficient documentation skills, ideally in Meditech Expanse
• Ability to develop patient-centered, measurable plans of care
