Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in delivering hands-on treatment and therapeutic exercises
• Implement treatment plans and document patient progress accurately and promptly
• Provide compassionate patient education to promote safe mobility and independence
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize outcomes
• Ensure patient safety by following proper transfer, gait, and equipment protocols
• Prepare treatment areas, equipment, and maintain a clean, organized workspace

Qualifications

• Current, active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Wisconsin (required)
• Completion of an accredited PTA program
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
• Experience in rehab or geriatric care a plus

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise techniques and mobility training
• Comfortable with patient transfers, gait training, and assistive devices
• Proficient with clinical documentation and care plan execution
• Ability to educate patients and families in clear, empathetic terms
• Team-oriented mindset with good time management and organization
