Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify medications and ensure accurate medication delivery across a 285-bed inpatient hospital
• Dose therapeutic medications including vancomycin, aminoglycosides, and anticoagulants
• Supervise pharmacy technicians during sterile IV compounding and Pyxis/Pak Edge checks
• Perform medication verification, first dose checks, and manage emergency med boxes
• Provide pain consults and collaborate with clinical teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Use Dose Edge and Meditech EMR to document, verify, and optimize medication therapy

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School (required)
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in Missouri (required)
• Minimum: 1 year of pharmacy experience (as listed in the posting)
• ACLS and BLS (preferred)
• NICU experience (preferred)
• Experience supervising technicians and overseeing sterile compounding
• Familiarity with Dose Edge, Pyxis, Pak Edge, and Meditech EMR

Education

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School

Knowledge & Skills

• Inpatient pharmacy workflows and hospital medication distribution
• Medication verification and sterile IV compounding oversight
• Therapeutic dosing for vancomycin, aminoglycosides, and anticoagulants
• Pyxis and Pak Edge ADC management
• Dose Edge clinical verification software
• Proficient use of Meditech EMR for documentation and order review
• Strong communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
