Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify medication orders accurately to protect patient safety and ensure timely delivery
• Oversee and mentor pharmacy technicians to keep the central pharmacy running smoothly
• Provide clinical consultation to nurses and providers to support optimal medication therapy
• Manage medication distribution and product checking with strong attention to detail
• Document clinical interventions and maintain compliance with medication management policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and pharmacy operations
• Operate and troubleshoot pharmacy systems and equipment (Talyst, Pyxis, LAFW, CAI) and EMR tools (Cerner, Vigilanz)

Qualifications

• Active RPh license in North Carolina (required)
• Minimum 2+ years hospital pharmacy experience
• Experience supervising the work of pharmacy technicians
• Comfortable with 12-hour rotations and weekend coverage
• ACLS certification preferred if covering the Emergency Department
• Experience with Cerner and Vigilanz preferred; familiarity with Talyst, Pyxis, LAFW, CAI is a plus
