Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient evaluations to create individualized therapy plans
• Deliver ADL training and therapeutic exercise programs that improve function
• Provide safe transfers and mobility training using typical IPR gym equipment (balance and gait systems)
• Lead functional training and family/patient education to support long-term outcomes
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Meditech (Expanse)
• Collaborate with PTs, SLPs, techs and nursing for coordinated, person-centered care
• Participate in weekend rotation and required call coverage to ensure continuity of care
• Support the new hospital/unit startup and help shape great workflows

Qualifications

• BLS certification (must have)
• Experience documenting in Meditech (Expanse) preferred
• Clinical experience delivering ADL training, therapeutic exercise, transfers and functional training
• Comfort working independently in a fast-paced rehab unit and as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Willingness to participate in weekend rotation and short-term travel assignment (6 weeks)

Knowledge & Skills

• Occupational Therapy practice in inpatient rehab settings
• Therapeutic exercise and functional training techniques
• ADL training and patient/family education
• Safe transfer techniques and mobility facilitation
• Experience with balance training and gait systems
• Accurate clinical documentation (Meditech/Expanse)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
