Location: Bakersfield, CA

Start Date: 06-17-2026

End Date: 09-16-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts with rotating call after 4:30 PM; rotating weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying imaging
Operate GE equipment proficiently to produce high-quality diagnostic images
Collaborate with radiologists and lead tech to ensure accurate results
Maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients
Float to Mercy Downtown location as needed (approx 6.5 miles away)

Qualifications

Valid California NMTL license required
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
At least 2 years of nuclear medicine technologist experience
Ability to start IVs (preferred but not required)
Strong attention to detail and patient care focus

Knowledge & Skills

Nuclear Medicine and SPECT imaging
Cardiac imaging and stress testing
Bone scan and gastric emptying procedures
Radnet and Merge Unity PACS/EMR systems
GE equipment operation
