Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry for a high-volume patient load and respond appropriately to alerts
• Analyze and interpret heart rhythms, performing accurate rhythm identification and escalation
• Build clear end-of-shift reports and manage patient add/discharge tasks within GE Carescape
• Communicate promptly and professionally with floor staff using desktop phones and iPhone applications
• Maintain thorough call logs and documentation to ensure continuity of care
• Prioritize multiple tasks calmly during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail
• Contribute to a positive, organized unit environment and adhere to attendance and tardiness policies

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in telemetry or remote monitoring
• Telemetry competency and ability to pass a basic cardiac rhythm test
• Proven cardiac rhythm interpretation skills and experience analyzing ECGs
• Typing proficiency and basic computer skills, including familiarity with iPhone apps
• Strong attendance record and professional approach to on-call and weekend coverage
• Preferred but not required: CNA or cardiac nursing background, ECG Board Certification, previous GE monitoring experience
• Required certifications: None stated
