Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care as an LPN in the per diem pool
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per provider orders
• Collaborate with RNs and the interdisciplinary team to support continuity of care
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings in the medical record
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly
• Follow infection prevention protocols, including respirator/fit-test procedures
• Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and unit-specific training
• Support patient and family education with clear, respectful communication

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing (license verification required)
• Current BLS certification required
• Completion of Trinity specialty-specific competency testing prior to assignment
• Must complete required occupational health screenings (fit test, drug screen, immunizations, TB testing, respirator evaluation, color vision, physical/health statement)
• Strong clinical judgment, reliable attendance, and ability to adapt to different units as needed
• Professional attitude and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Familiarity with patient assessment and documentation best practices
• Knowledge of infection control standards and PPE use (including respirator use)
• Good communication and patient education skills
• Ability to follow protocols and complete competency testing accurately
• Comfort working in fast-paced, variable assignment environments
