Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care that makes a real difference
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Perform timely patient assessments and report changes to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to coordinate care plans
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and smooth transitions of care
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure a safe patient environment
• Communicate clearly with patients and families to keep them informed and supported

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or equivalent in New Mexico, or eligibility to obtain one
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Clinical experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
• Ability to work local per diem shifts Wednesday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
• Willingness to complete required immunizations and background checks
• Local candidates only as noted in the job details

Education

• Practical Nursing diploma or vocational nursing certificate from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and accurate documentation
• Basic patient assessment, vital signs, and care planning
• Wound care, dressing changes, and standard clinical procedures
• Charting in electronic medical record systems and clear documentation practices
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time management during long shifts
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changing patient needs
