Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care that makes a measurable difference each shift
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
• Document patient care and interventions clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to coordinate individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and recovery goals
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and assist with clinical procedures
• Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with facility policies

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible for NC licensure)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) a plus
• Current, active license in good standing with no restrictions
• Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts and collaborating in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered mindset
• Previous acute care or med-surg experience preferred but enthusiastic new grads are encouraged to apply

Education

• LPN: Diploma or Certificate in Practical Nursing
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) for RN applicants

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and IV/infusion familiarity
• Patient assessment, wound care, and basic clinical procedures
• Accurate charting and electronic health record (EHR) navigation
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Team-based communication and handoff reporting
• Time management, prioritization, and critical thinking under pressure
