Candidate Pay Rate: $28 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care including medication administration and wound care
Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs and report changes promptly
Document care accurately and maintain clear electronic health records
Collaborate with RNs, physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-focused care
Educate patients and families on care plans, medications and discharge instructions
Follow infection control standards and facility policies to keep patients safe

Qualifications

Active LPN license in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain one)
Current BLS/CPR certification required
Previous acute care experience preferred
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Strong clinical assessment, communication and critical thinking skills

Education

Practical nursing diploma or certificate
Associate Degree in Nursing or BSN for RN applicants

Knowledge & Skills

Medication administration and safe documentation practices
Patient assessment and early recognition of clinical changes
Familiarity with electronic health record systems
Infection prevention and control principles
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication with patients, families and clinical teams
