Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care including assessments, medication administration, and routine treatments
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient charts and electronic medical records
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and communicate findings to the care team promptly
• Support patient and family education to promote recovery and independence
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe care environment

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) — North Carolina licensure required or eligibility to obtain
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications (e.g., IV therapy) a plus
• Clinical experience caring for adult patients; experience in med-surg, long-term care, or similar settings preferred
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work 12.5-hour day shifts and maintain accurate documentation

Education

• Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing (LPN) — or equivalent from an accredited nursing program
• Continuing education and certification as required by state licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals, medication administration, and patient assessment
• Familiarity with electronic medical record charting and clinical documentation best practices
• Skilled at prioritization, time management, and multitasking in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Understanding of infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent patient/family communication and interpersonal skills
