Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients at Sandy River Ctr
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document clearly
• Monitor and record patient vital signs, changes in condition, and communicate updates to the care team
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and interdisciplinary staff to develop and implement patient care plans
• Support patients with activities of daily living while promoting independence and dignity
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient records and follow facility policies

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (appropriate for Maine practice)
• Local candidates only (this is a local assignment)
• Comfortable working 12.5-hour day shifts and meeting a 36-hour weekly guarantee
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; dependable and patient-focused
• Current basic life support (BLS) preferred or willing to obtain if required by facility

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent LPN/PN certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of medication administration and documentation standards
• Skilled in taking and interpreting vital signs and recognizing changes in patient condition
• Familiarity with infection control and patient safety best practices
• Good clinical judgment, time management, and ability to prioritize patient needs
• Clear communication with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team
