Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate bedside care to residents and patients
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Assess and monitor patient condition, reporting changes promptly to the care team
• Contribute to individualized care plans and document care clearly and timely
• Assist with activities of daily living including mobility, hygiene, and nutrition
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families to support holistic care
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection prevention protocols
• Support admissions, discharges, and transitions with professionalism and empathy

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in New Mexico
• Completion of an accredited LPN program
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab settings preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification recommended
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently
• Local candidates only as noted in the posting

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited LPN program

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
• Charting and electronic medical record familiarity
• Infection control and safety protocols
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and prioritization during long shifts
• Compassionate patient-centered care and de-escalation techniques
