Licensed Practical Nurse

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC (overnight/night shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $33 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to patients in the rehab/acute area
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Monitor patient status, assess changes, and report concerns promptly
Document care thoroughly and maintain accurate patient records
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery
Assist with patient mobility, ADLs, and rehabilitation activities as directed
Follow facility policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols

Qualifications

Current and active LPN license (required) for practice in New Mexico
BLS/CPR certification (required) and other relevant certifications as applicable
Comfortable and experienced working overnight shifts and per diem assignments
Experience in rehabilitation, acute care, or long-term care is preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team

Education

Vocational nursing diploma or LPN certificate (required)
Additional continuing education in rehabilitation or specialty care is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Medication administration and safe documentation practices
Basic patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
Wound care and assistance with rehabilitation activities
Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
Time management, prioritization, and patient-centered communication
