Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition promptly to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers, mobility assistance, and maintain patient dignity
• Document care accurately and timely in the facility’s charting system
• Collaborate with nurses and other care team members to deliver coordinated care
• Help create a calm, respectful environment that promotes patient comfort and recovery

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential required; travel LNA (T-LNA) accepted
• Current basic life support (BLS) or equivalent as required by facility
• Experience in direct patient care preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
• Ability to pass facility background checks and any required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant (LNA) training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient bathing, toileting, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Knowledge of infection prevention, safe patient handling, and basic clinical observations
• Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
• Good time management and ability to prioritize in a busy overnight environment
• Empathy, patience, and effective communication with patients and families
