Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to residents, supporting dignity and independence
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and observe changes in condition for early intervention
• Communicate effectively with the nursing team and report concerns promptly
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
• Document care accurately and timely in the resident record
• Support resident comfort and emotional needs during night shifts

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification — NH or VT licensure valid for assignment
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to complete required background checks
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a team-first attitude

Education

• Completion of a state-approved LNA program
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and transferring residents safely
• Proficient at taking and recording vital signs and reporting changes
• Familiarity with infection control and resident safety procedures
• Comfortable with medication pass support and following care plans under RN direction
• Ability to document clearly in electronic or paper charts
• Good time management and the ability to work independently on night shift
