Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
• Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to residents and families
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate documentation and support care plans as directed by nursing staff
• Support safe patient transfers and fall prevention through proper body mechanics
• Adhere to infection control policies and keep the care environment clean and safe
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

• Valid LNA / Licensed Nursing Assistant certification (able to work in NH; VT certification a plus if applicable)
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Comfort working overnight shifts and providing hands-on patient care
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient-centered care and interpersonal communication
• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, charting
• Safe patient handling and fall-prevention techniques
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively on a busy unit
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive, adaptable attitude
