Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality radiographic exams across body parts for accurate diagnostic interpretation
Apply radiation protection principles with professional judgment
Maintain precise patient records and departmental quality assurance
Transfer patients safely to and from radiology
Step up to lead the department in supervisor's absence
Assist with invasive procedures and equipment care in CT/interventional areas
Pursue ongoing education to stay at the forefront of imaging technology
Adapt protocols for diverse patient ages from newborn to geriatric

Qualifications

Current ARRT in Radiography certification
Clinical competency within 3 months of hire and every three years
Experience performing all diagnostic exams in assigned modality
Ability to take call and report within 20 minutes
Willingness to learn additional imaging modalities like CT, MRI, Mammography

Education

ARRT certification in Radiography required; additional certifications in CT, MR, MG, NM, or ARDMS for advanced levels

Knowledge & Skills

Diagnostic medical radiography expertise

Sterile technique and venipuncture goals
Tele-radiology transmission
Age-specific care from newborn to geriatric
Cultural sensitivity across diverse backgrounds
