Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and support daily living activities
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility and toileting
• Take and document vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Ensure patient comfort, safety and dignity at all times
• Follow infection control practices and facility policies consistently
• Communicate clearly with nurses and the care team about patient needs
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation of care and observations
• Support safe transfers and use of mobility equipment as needed

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Active state CNA registry or license as required by California
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Able to pass background check and required health screenings
• Comfortable working night shifts and adapting to per-diem schedules
• Friendly, patient-focused attitude with good communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited/state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Infection control and safe hygiene practices
• Safe patient transfer and mobility assistance
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and team members
• Basic documentation skills (paper or electronic charting)
