Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to patients in an acute care setting
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and accurately record vital signs and patient observations
• Support the nursing team with timely hands-on care and patient transfers
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain infection control standards and a safe, clean environment
• Document care and observations accurately in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Current and valid CNA certification (state requirements apply)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working 12.5-hour acute care shifts; reliability and strong attendance
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a patient-first attitude
• Previous acute care experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in basic patient care skills and ADL assistance
• Ability to accurately take and record vital signs
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Comfortable with electronic charting and basic documentation
• Good communication skills with patients, families, and clinical staff
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to serve a diverse patient population
