Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on occupational therapy interventions that help patients regain independence
• Assess patient needs and develop meaningful, goal-oriented treatment plans
• Collaborate with OTs, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families to support carry-over of therapeutic gains
• Document progress accurately and timely in the patient record
• Ensure safety by maintaining equipment and following best-practice infection control
• Contribute to a positive workplace culture by mentoring peers and sharing clinical insights

Qualifications

• Active COTA certification (required)
• Graduation from an accredited OTA/OTA program
• Montana licensure or ability to obtain state authorization for practice
• BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Previous clinical experience as a COTA is preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team

Education

• Associate degree or diploma from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic activities and adaptive techniques to promote function
• Proficient with patient assessment and documentation best practices
• Comfortable working with a variety of adult patient populations
• Solid time-management, prioritization, and organizational skills
• Familiarity with electronic health records and basic clinical outcome measures
• Ability to instruct and motivate patients and families in a compassionate way
