Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans as a COTA
• Implement therapeutic activities to improve daily living skills, mobility, and independence
• Collaborate closely with OTs, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Document patient progress, outcomes, and treatment modifications clearly and timely
• Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques, home programs, and equipment use
• Adapt interventions to meet the needs of diverse patients and changing clinical situations
• Advocate for patient-centered care and contribute to a positive, safety-focused environment

Qualifications

• Current COTA / Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant credential (required)
• Eligible for or able to complete facility credentialing in Massachusetts
• Comfortable providing care across all days of the week as part of the coverage model
• Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
• Compassionate, team-oriented approach with a focus on patient outcomes
• Available for the 14-week assignment starting March 2, 2026 and ending June 1, 2026

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL/IADL training and functional mobility interventions
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment and assistive technology recommendations
• Ability to perform and contribute to standardized assessments and care planning
• Proficient in clinical documentation and reporting of measurable outcomes
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient/family education and team collaboration
• Familiarity with safety protocols and infection control in a rehab/long-term setting
