Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding and toileting
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Follow infection control practices and required immunization and screening protocols
• Complete documentation and skills checklists thoroughly and on time
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
• Participate in competency testing and skills validation as required

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or completion of an approved CNA program
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Must be able to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Successful License/Certificate Verification and Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen
• Up-to-date immunizations and screenings as required: COVID-19 vaccine, Influenza vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, and 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon)
• Current physical/health statement on file

Education

• Completion of state-approved CNA program or equivalent
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong hands-on resident care skills and ability to assist with ADLs
• Knowledge of infection control practices and proper PPE use
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with nursing staff
• Attention to detail for completing checklists, competency testing, and required screenings
• Professionalism, compassion, and respect for resident dignity and privacy
