Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care and assist patients with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
Support safe transfers and mobility, helping patients maintain dignity and independence
Document patient observations and care in the facility charting system
Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to maintain a safe environment
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver consistent care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in New Mexico (required)
Proof of competency in patient care tasks and basic nursing support
Local candidates only (position is local-only)
Ability to start ASAP — ideally within 2 weeks
Reliable, punctual, and able to work overnight shifts
BLS/CPR certification preferred (if you have it, tell us!)

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care skills including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting assistance
Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and reporting concerns
Basic knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
Good communication and teamwork skills within a clinical setting
Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn quickly
Attention to detail and a compassionate bedside manner
