Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team to ensure safety
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Support mealtime, hygiene, and comfort needs with dignity and respect
• Document care accurately and promptly in resident records to keep the team informed
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to create a positive environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing (required)
• Active CNA credentials or ability to obtain Pennsylvania CNA registration
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and supporting geriatric care needs
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in resident personal care, ADLs, and mobility assistance
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling practices
• Basic charting and documentation skills; attention to detail
• Strong observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
• Compassionate interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
