Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days not specified, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift, classified as day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs and changes in patient condition with accuracy
Support mobility and transfers safely, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Document care and observations clearly in the patient record
Communicate effectively with nurses and the care team to ensure continuity of care
Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect residents and staff
Help create a warm, respectful environment that preserves resident dignity

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
Comfortable with direct patient care and physical demands of the role
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Prior experience in long-term care or acute care is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
Knowledge of basic infection control practices and patient safety
Comfortable taking and recording vitals and observations
Good documentation and time-management skills
Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills for resident-centered care
