Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days not specified, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (Day shift) with a 30-minute meal break

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients including assistance with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any concerning changes to the nursing team promptly
Support safe patient mobility and transfers while following proper body mechanics
Maintain accurate and timely documentation to ensure continuity of care
Help create a clean, comfortable, and respectful environment for patients and families
Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to advocate for patients

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or obtained upon hire
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Ability to work the scheduled day shift hours (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) and follow facility policies

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of state-approved CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with resident care tasks and ADL assistance
Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and patient observations
Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
Basic charting and documentation skills
Team-oriented approach and strong interpersonal skills
