Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care that improves daily life and comfort
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, mobility) with dignity and respect
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, reducing fall risk and promoting independence
• Document care accurately and communicate clearly with nurses and families
• Maintain cleanliness, infection control, and a safe environment for patients

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (active and in good standing)
• Valid state CNA license or eligibility to obtain one in New Mexico
• Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts and able to manage physical aspects of care
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute settings preferred

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient-centered care with empathy and professionalism
• Basic vital sign measurement and recognition of changes
• Assistance with ADLs and safe patient handling techniques
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Dependability, time management, and ability to follow care plans
