Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care including assistance with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
Monitor and accurately record vital signs and patient condition to support clinical decision-making
Assist nursing staff with treatments, turning, transfers, and ADLs to ensure patient comfort and safety
Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient chart and communicate changes in condition to the care team
Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to protect patients and staff
Build rapport with patients and families, providing respectful support and clear communication

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (New Mexico or eligible to obtain)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain promptly
Demonstrated ability to perform ADLs and safe patient transfers
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or acute care is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing care and activities of daily living
Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
Infection control and safe patient handling principles
Comfortable with electronic charting or willingness to learn
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
