Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding) while preserving dignity
- Support nursing staff with vital signs, transfers, and routine observations
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and teammates
- Build strong, respectful relationships with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) designation (Class: CNA) — required
- Valid state CNA license/certification as applicable for New Mexico
- Demonstrated ability to perform safe patient handling and basic clinical tasks
- Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented approach to patient care
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
- Basic vital sign measurement and patient observation
- Infection prevention and facility safety practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with clinical staff
- Time management and the ability to prioritize care tasks
