Shift Type: Primary options: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (day) OR Four 10s: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM. On-call rotation: 1-2 weeknights per week (on-call begins at end of shift until 6:30 AM), every 3rd-4th weekend on-call. Shift type: Rotating (primarily day shifts with scheduled on-call nights and weekends)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub all cases tableside with physicians, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety
• Set up and maintain sterile procedure tables and instruments for coronary, peripheral, and IR cases
• Function as circulator when needed to support case flow and team coordination
• Manage access sites (groin, radial, drains) competently during procedures
• Operate and assist with device implants and mechanical circulatory support such as Impella and IABP
• Support STEMI and emergent PCI interventions with calm, efficient action
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and techs to maintain a high-quality cath lab environment
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond within the facility’s required response time

Qualifications

• Valid Oregon license required
• Required certifications: Rad Tech, RCIS or ARRT (CI) or ARRT (CV)
• BLS (AHA) required
• Radiation badge required for the assignment (facility does not provide)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant cath lab or interventional experience
• Comfortable with on-call responsibilities and a 20-minute call response time

Education

• Completion of an accredited Rad Tech program or equivalent credential (RCIS or ARRT acceptable)
• BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Sterile setup and tableside scrub duties for coronary angiograms and interventions
• Experience as scrub tech (tableside) and as circulator
• Access site management for groin, radial, and drains
• Competence with PCI, diagnostic caths, STEMI management, peripheral angiogram/intervention, and thrombectomy
• Familiarity with IR procedures performed in the cath lab, including IVC filters and device implants
• Hands-on knowledge of atherectomy devices, Impella, and IABP
• Experience with MEDITECH and McKesson charting systems and GE imaging equipment
• Strong radiation safety practices and team communication skills
