Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance to patients, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility
• Monitor, record and report vital signs and patient changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and positioning using proper body mechanics
• Maintain strict infection control practices and adhere to PPE and fit testing requirements
• Complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and follow facility protocols
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely communication with nurses and supervisors
• Participate in mandatory health screenings, immunization requirements and drug testing

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Successful License/Certificate Verification per facility policy
• Ability to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing
• Clear background check, Trinity 10-panel drug screen and required health screenings
• Up-to-date immunizations (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza) and TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
• Reliable, patient-centered attitude and strong teamwork skills

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of state-approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong fundamentals in direct patient care and ADL assistance
• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs and basic observations
• Knowledge of infection prevention practices and PPE use
• Good communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Comfortable with competency testing and following standardized protocols
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns to licensed nursing staff
