Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered personal care to promote dignity and independence
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting and feeding
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
• Support licensed nurses with treatments, documentation, and daily care tasks
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control procedures
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication
• Observe, document, and communicate resident needs and concerns to the care team

Qualifications

• Valid Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by the facility
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; a team player mindset
• Reliable transportation to and from the Bowie area

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• GNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Working knowledge of geriatric care principles and respectful eldercare practices
• Familiarity with basic infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Comfortable with charting and basic documentation
• Observational skills to identify changes in resident condition
• Ability to follow care plans and direction from licensed nursing staff
