Roles & Responsibilities

• Direct the financial operations of the Foundation, ensuring fiscal integrity and alignment with organizational goals
• Provide strategic financial oversight and lead annual budget development and monitoring
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls and compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Foundation and the hospital system, fostering productive partnerships
• Lead, coach, and supervise staff to build a high-performing, accountable team
• Oversee grants management and ensure accurate stewardship and reporting of restricted funds
• Analyze financial processes and implement improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiency
• Drive major organizational initiatives and deliver measurable financial outcomes

Qualifications

• Seven years in a financial leadership role required
• Minimum four years of experience in the non-profit sector required
• Hands-on experience with Foundation operations and grants management highly preferred
• Healthcare experience, ideally within a large hospital system, preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation highly preferred
• Proven ability to develop budgets, enforce internal controls, and ensure GAAP compliance
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience engaging diverse stakeholders
• Must disclose any previous Parkland employment history as part of the submission

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• CPA credential highly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep knowledge of GAAP, statutory accounting principles, and internal control frameworks
• Expertise in budget development, financial oversight, and grant accounting
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills with attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and supervisory abilities
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial audiences
• Experience designing workflows and process improvements to boost productivity and compliance
