Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:50 AM - 3:20 PM, no weekends or on-call

Hours per Week: 40

Roles & Responsibilities

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to ensure smooth surgical procedures
Prepare and maintain the sterile field, handling instruments and supplies with precision
Provide scrub support and anticipate the needs of the surgical team during operations
Monitor and manage equipment and supplies to ensure a safe and efficient OR environment
Deliver intraoperative care to patients, contributing to positive surgical outcomes

Qualifications

At least 2 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience in an acute care setting
Active NBSTSA or NCCT certification (minimum 2 years held)
Current American Heart Association BLS certification
COVID-19 vaccination required (declinations not accepted)
Travel experience highly preferred
Must have a valid GBMC cover page and complete skills checklist

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in Surgical Technology and sterile technique
Proficiency with BLS and emergency protocols
Strong knowledge of CST practices and standards
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical team
Excellent communication and organizational skills
