Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every 3rd weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population in Med Surg and ER
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients with efficiency and empathy
Titrate medications and manage drips including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed
Start IVs and work with PICC lines and ports
Respond to codes (cardiorespiratory, stroke, sepsis) and trauma activations
Read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips independently
Float between Emergency Department and Med Surg as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Minnesota or compact state
Must have ER experience to be considered
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Comfortable working independently with minimal staff and direct communication with hospitalists
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced critical access hospital

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities
Proficiency in Meditech EMR
Knowledge of EMTALA regulations
Experience with titrating multiple drips
Ability to perform EKG interpretation and tele monitoring
Team player willing to float between units
